Find a variety of different yoga poses in our yoga classes. In addition to the basic positions, each class will teach you how to do certain pose variations that require balance and coordination. This is perfect for those who are new to yoga or have never practiced before. You can choose from multiple schools of thought and instructors to find one you like. Each school is dedicated to creating their own personal style. If you’re really into a particular style or prefer a teacher, check out what other people are saying about them as well. There is no right answer to this question; just ask yourself what interests you and enjoy doing the class.
Yoga Poses
The three most popular yoga classes are Ashtanga Vinyasa (Vinyasa), Hatha Vinyasa and Bhakti Chakra yoga (both Kundalini Yoga). These poses were developed by great teachers like Paramahansa Yogananda and Sri Krishna Iyengar. A study on Yogic Techniques by Dr. Sushanta Ghosh from Kolkata says: “Vinyasa has been found to be highly beneficial, especially when it comes to increasing flexibility, improving strength, boosting endurance and reducing stress and anxiety in individuals suffering from chronic health conditions such as heart failure and cancer. It also helps in strengthening muscles around the body. The Hatha Vinyasa pose is particularly helpful in improving flexibility in the hips and legs, and strengthening the body. People suffering from arthritis and back pain need to practice these yoga poses because they help in releasing tension and stiffness in the body. With a good understanding of these poses, we can easily move on to practicing more complicated yogic techniques. However, if we want to continue developing our skills or learning a specific posture, then Hatha Vinyasa is not suitable for everyone. For example, some people may experience problems with twisting a leg towards the ground while lying down on the floor. Therefore, in order to become better at Hatha Vinyasa, it is recommended to start with Hatha Vinyasa and go upwards. Otherwise, there is an inherent risk of making your body more tense than ever before.”
Vinyasa is based off of several Indian yoga styles including Tibetan Yin-Yang, which was created over 2000 years ago by Siddhartha Gautama (the founder of Buddhism) and his first guru, Master Gyari. At the core of this technique is moving the whole body through very fast, controlled breath to achieve deep relaxation, opening up the mind and raising awareness and concentration to the highest level. Through this process, the focus is placed on balancing all parts of the body through various poses in sequence. When the mind starts to wander or becomes distracted, it automatically returns back to focusing on maintaining the pose.
This type of flowing movement makes it easy to learn, so anyone who is interested in meditation and mindfulness can make use of Vinyasa yoga.
Yogis do not typically think about the benefits of Vinyasa yoga. Instead, many focus on its physical effects such as increased flexibility and ease of breathing, but it doesn't actually have scientific proof supporting its results. Vinyasa yoga is said to increase circulation of blood throughout the entire body, improve mental clarity and promote healthy muscle formation. To date, research shows little evidence that Vinyasa yoga causes any physical injuries and only affects the lower body. But this is no reason to give up on trying out Vinyasa Yoga!
In fact, it's important to consider both approaches when learning any form of meditative activity. Some people are intimidated by traditional practices like meditation because they believe in magic, energy, synchronicity or "spiritual energy." While they might feel like something magical exists outside of the material world, they might not realize the power that goes behind the meditation technique.
When it comes to using yoga in your daily life, it's always best to keep things natural and positive. Remember that just because somebody else thinks being spiritual is easy, might not necessarily be true. Yoga does not necessarily help you grow spiritually, but instead increases your awareness as well as helps strengthen your immune system. So let's make sure we treat ourselves with respect and kindness in this way. Don't sweat it if you're struggling or don't have a lot going on. All people get stuck sometimes, but with proper dedication and patience you can overcome anything.
